About this work
Hudson Valley university observatory. A weekday night, last observation of the semester. Astrid Hale is twenty-nine, a married observing assistant. Her husband is teaching a night lecture on the main campus. The finger with the ring lowers the dome switch.
“If clouds come, we have to close the dome.” Walk down the hill and the night ends as stars. Stay until the dome closes, and it stops being campus.
